Formation Conference
On Monday, Feb. 17, our seminary community attended a lecture entitled “The evangelical counsels in the life of the diocesan priest,” given by Fr. Miguel Bengoa.
“To live only by God” is the root, goal and invitation to which every priest is called through the evangelical counsels. For this reason, a deepening on them is crucial in the formation of seminarians.
These evangelical counsels of poverty, chastity and obedience enable the future priest to align himself with the Gospel and prepare to live them out through total dedication to God, with the help of grace and in the context of community.
Their practice is essential for future priests to be authentic witnesses of the Christian message and to live their vocation with integrity.
