Marian Pilgrimage

On Saturday the 18th the community had its Marian pilgrimage. The school went to the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary in Pompeya. The Mass was presided by Fr. Enrique Tapia, L.C., rector of Mater Ecclesae. The Shrine was built by Beato Bartolo Longo at the end of 1800. After the Eucharistic Celebration the community consecrated to the Virgin offering their perseverance. Afterwards we went to the Chapel of the Holy Family in the Shrine to be given an explanation of the Shrine.
After the pilgrimage we moved to the city of Naples, where we visited the Basilica of St. John the Major. Salvatore Giuliano, pastor of the Basilica gave us a brief explanation. The first traces of the Basilica date back to the 3rd century. We also had the opportunity to visit the Basilica and Convent of St. Clare. It was a day in which the community was united in prayer and took the opportunity to get to know historical monuments of great value for Christianity
